The story below is another powerful tale(In my humble opinion) eventually linking the two main characters of each story. And for those who have read it already. You know Abel and her life. Now I deliver you a different craft. The mesmerizing story that is Six Years Black! Synopsis of the short story. Syble Green first home was her sanctuary. Will She Wither Like A Flower? We didn't always use to live in the big city. It is nice but I rather spend my time in the past. When memories were real. My imagination so full, I gave birth to new life. Imaginary friends and more. The grass was definitely greener. But its scary now. Unbearable in fact. “Grand Hill Park” We decide to sit on the bench and eat whats left of our frozen dessert. “You always get the same thing, dad,” I said with an accurately placed annoyed tone. “Try something new next time.” I see a dog walking a woman. No, you read that right. She has no control over the situation. Thanks for listening. Oh! if you haven't please check out the video below. I ask if you read Rooks of the Raven please leave a helpful review. Thanks for listening! Six Years Black coming out shortly. I just have to write it first. I'll start today. You are the first to see the cover art! Well, besides me, then I guess my designer they did create it after all. I out rank The Help and The Color Purple! There is only one factor that will propel your life the way you want it, and that is you. Even for a second this was a blessing from above!
For those who don't know these two power house of historical fiction let me change the names around. This is major goals for me, say I wrote a fantasy book. Say I out rank Harry Potter for a day, or for even a second it takes to to refresh the browser or even Chronicles of Narnia. This was the moment I realized I was a published author. From aspiring to self published, I took matters in my own hands and anyone can do the same. If you need help along the way, then humbly ask for it. Or even Imagine I wrote another genre and for a second, just a second I outranked The Catcher in the Rye or the Great Gatsby, Lord of the Flies for my old schools. I was just a young child from Liberia. I couldn't even tell you left from right, I couldn't even ask for a new pair of shoes. The word opportunity, success, hopes, and dreams ceased to exist. Its crazy when I first came to the states I couldn't even tell you what snow was, let alone never experienced cold or even failure for that matter. To experience failure you would have to know what success is. The reason I say this is, back then I never held a pen to write my tale. but what I CAN tell you is, strive for what you want, accomplish your goals. Be the author of your own destiny... Ever see a human pick a fight with Hercules? Well, I would raise my hand but I skipped to Zeus. The competitors I have are nothing short of fantastic. But hey, do you see me sweating? Actually, I could use a comrade on this journey. My destiny is to be an author and much more, whats yours? I cannot battle these other top rank novels on my own. Thanks for listening! Have a blessed day. *** Rooks of the Raven Hardback is Available now!!** Follow link for a chance to win a free hardback! Do You know what writing and engaging story is? Try to visualize that you are always in the driver seat. You're the writer. You see everything, you are in control. You put your thoughts in full throttle and conjure up an adventure. You know how when you're in the passenger seat not paying attention and you feel a jerk, the car stops? Then you look because you need to know why the sudden anxiety?
Answer the question... Why did you stop? A climax, or dare I say a cliffhanger? Do you tell your audience what happened with a sequel or leave them hanging? Weave together a string of words that are captivating. The main focus is to keep writing. Add the same principle to your daily grind. Keep at it, no shortcuts. Everything in this video is done to set the mood(I lost count how many times I had to re-record). There is much more to the story than what you just watched. To truly understand her story you will need to know what she going through.
*Book cover coming soon* *The screen turning black is part of the video* For long as I can remember I switched careers too many times to count. Once upon a time, before college, I said I wouldn't mind being a lawyer, firefighter, and many others. Writing was not one of the few careers I sought out. I like to believe the pen choose me and like King Arthur, I pulled it from the stone. Ever since, it became my weapon for inspiration, stories, and a new voice. Like a benevolent king, I want to conquer the hearts of my fans.
I remember college during my freshmen year. Two friends were talking about how they started a book. Back then that idea muddled with me. Those guys inspired me. At that moment I realized something so simple, anyone can do it. For two-semester, I was trying to pursue a fire science degree...Finally, I made a U-TURN and forged a new path...Where does your path lead you? Rooks of the Raven is a story that's molded into an enticing tale. When I first started, an idea springs to my head and guess what it is? The title! Like a newborn baby, it cried out Rooks of the Raven. This new idea came to life. My journey begins... My next step, what is this book going to be about? I didn't have an inkling of a clue Honestly, I'm not just saying that. I love the title I say to myself now the genre is my next step. I start thinking about genre and nothing came to mind. I seriously put the project down, but something about the name kept pulling me back. Part 2 Something kept pulling me back to the title Rooks of the Raven. Most people that know me understand I love playing a strategic game of chess. On a path to find a tale of delicate rarity, I realized something. A family. A king, queen, rooks. They became real in a way. Finally a genre risen , a historical fiction. Thus began my journey. Even though I said historical it wasn't till many draft later I decided on a timeline. In one of my drafts I even remember adding a car in it. My dates were jumping around, should I make it 1950, maybe 1800th. I wasn't sure. But I kept on writing. I kept digging and digging, thud. I found gold.. Part 3 picking my main character(mc) name was next. In Rooks of the Raven, Abel was not always the main character. The name I first desired was Corjo. I valued the name Corjo but I also treasure strong heroine type protagonist. I couldn't let go of the his name so I made another main character. Having these two characters started to set boundaries for me. My timeline slowly immersing from the fog, soon I will know my exact period and plot. **Spoilers below! I think** In the beginning, when I was writing about the family Abel's mom could talk, she had dialogues of her own. But later I begin to think? What if the mother was a mute... What could have happened to make her this way? What is her history that even her daughter doesn't know...Thus, The Queen was born. All she needed was her King. Two rooks, Ina the infant and finally Abel. (Scroll up to the pictures. Are you curious as to why she holding a queen chess piece?) Halfway through self-publishing my Novel. My researched consist of reading one novel to better equip. However, I am a visual learner. I learn from movies or TV shows that pertain to my subject of interest. While writing I google the clothes my characters wear. Like corsets. Before I even found my timeline they were wearing Kevin Klein. My story was everywhere, But that is okay. like soft clay mold your work as you go. On the other hand do not be afraid to solidify some events that you feel strongly about. It is incredible the one book I read was The Help, and I was nervous but at the same time excited since it was in the same category as me after I published on Amazon. I admit it, I do not like reading so it took me forever to finish once I finally start appreciating the novel. I began to read more pages. I do not have an arsenal of books that I can say I read throughout my life so to my surprise when I saw The Help sitting in the top 100 rank on Amazon at spot 20, I was envious but more importantly thirsty. I was hoping one day I sit in the top 100 best seller chart. Like I said in my previous post, I'm hungry. I made The Help my goal to achieve better rank for a day or so. It became my rival, so to speak. Believe me, I had tremendous doubts, throughout every last detail. How could my newly published compete? I ask myself. How can a newly published author even aim that high, am I being foolish? Its funny for me The Help is literally one of the few books I randomly read. I guess what I'm saying is I sure did not start on amazon 100 list, but every day I am blessed with this story...I cherish it. Long story short I accomplished my goal. #TheRooksStillLinger As a first published author, I feel reckless. I'm never sure if I'm doing well. I want to ask if you could support me through this journey. Help me by grabbing yourself a copy and writing helpful reviews. Help my book get into the hands of others. That goes for any author leave a helpful review, negativity just stunts growth. Nobody wishes to stay stagnant because of a vicious review. Thanks so much for listening or I guess more like reading. picture above shows amazon best seller rank. I am #14 and The Help #17
May not be the best but gosh darn it, its mine, and I am keeping it! Hard work was put into this trailer, therefore, enjoy as I do. I cannot stress enough, try the prologue, it's a unique story you won't forget...
